Uproar PR Named to Entrepreneur’s Top Company Cultures List

International PR agency recognized for impressive company culture and employee satisfaction

Orlando, Fla. and Chicago – November 4, 2015 – Uproar PR, a full-service public relations and social media agency, today announces that it is named a top five company in Entrepreneur’s 2015 Top Company Cultures List for the small enterprise category. Uproar was also the highest ranked in the category compared to other Central Florida and Chicago based businesses. This was the inaugural year for the Top Company Cultures Award program, which recognizes high-performance cultures across several businesses and industries.

Since opening its doors in 2011, Uproar PR has focused on establishing a welcoming company culture that promotes overall employee wellness and team collaboration. “The agency was founded on the concept that creating a positive culture is the most important thing you can do for your company,” said Catriona Harris, partner and co-founder of Uproar PR. Open floor plans in both the Orlando and Chicago offices are key factors in fostering quality culture at Uproar, allowing team members to easily work together and cultivate friendships that go beyond day to day professional interactions at the office.

“We wanted to provide our employees with an environment that makes them feel welcome and comfortable while also keeping them connected with each other socially throughout the day,” continued Harris. “Culture is one of the most important components to a successful business because it is what keeps the team bonded together. When your team gels, the work we do naturally becomes a success.”

Over the last four years Uproar has implemented many successful programs to help maintain the company culture and employee wellness as the agency grew. With fully stocked drink and snack bars, wellness hours so employees can attend fitness classes, quarterly reward days at the spa, half days on Fridays and an extra vacation day each year for employee’s birthdays, Uproar is constantly looking for new ways to keep its team engaged. Most of the culture programs currently in place at the agency were decided based on popular vote from the employees themselves.

“We have one of the best teams around at Uproar, so it’s important to us that we constantly look for ways to make their work experience the best it can be,” said Christine Curtin, Head of Uproar PR Culture Club. “We love to hear feedback from the team and collaborate on new initiatives that employees bring to the table.”

Uproar is a finalist in many other award programs that will be announced later this year and is anticipating continued success moving into 2016.
