Uproar PR is pleased to announce the promotion of Courtney Calderon to account director on healthcare and B2B tech accounts. Courtney oversees the agency’s healthcare PR practice that she has helped build over the last five and a half years. She also leads multiple B2B tech accounts and works with the executive team to provide strategy for the agency as a whole.
As a director, Courtney is focused on growing the healthcare and B2B practices at Uproar, managing multiple teams and guiding the ongoing strategy for each PR campaign. She has worked with companies in realms like biotech and life sciences, consumer tech, mental health, hospitals and healthcare systems, fintech, virtual and augmented reality, and machine learning and AI. She has seen her clients through funding rounds of all stages, product launches, business model overhauls and leadership changes.
Beyond major company news, Courtney uses her writing background to guide her teams to the evergreen story hooks between announcements. From highly technical content creation to lifestyle-based thought leadership, she helps her teams peel away the layers and find the stories that media want to tell – and that key audiences want to hear.
Courtney’s journey at the agency started as an account coordinator – she built her career within Uproar and now helps each team member hone their own strengths, cultivate media and client relationships, and ultimately find the same long-term success she found at the agency. Beyond the teams she works with on a day-to-day basis, Courtney has also implemented several agency-wide initiatives to foster growth and development for all employees. One example is establishing and managing the Agency Visibility Program in an effort to help staff members strengthen core skills, gain new perspectives, learn from other departments and build a clear growth path for themselves.
