Catriona Harris Named to Orlando Business Journal 40 Under 40

Recognized for Outstanding Achievements in Business

ORLANDO, FL–(Marketwire – Aug 22, 2011) – Catriona Harris was named one of Orlando Business Journal’s Forty Under 40. As Managing Partner of Uproar PR and Vice President of Vantage Communications, Catriona has distinguished herself among the up-and-coming women in Orlando’s business community, and the PR community as a whole. At the age of 29, she made VP at Vantage Communications and just a few shorts years later, has partnered to open up Uproar PR. In addition to her outstanding professional work, her exemplary community involvement and steadfast personal dedication make her a shining example of a well-rounded businesswoman in 2011.

Catriona joined Vantage Communications in 2004. Just one year after joining the company, she moved from Vantage’s headquarters in San Francisco and opened the company’s East Coast office in Orlando. Beginning at a local Panera Bread restaurant with just a laptop, Catriona grew the Orlando branch into a small office, quickly adding two more dedicated employees. Over the next six years, Vantage’s Orlando staff grew 600 percent, prompting two moves to larger office spaces.

Recognizing the need for cutting-edge, fast paced PR and social media campaigns in the consumer world as well, Catriona — along with her husband and the owners of Vantage Communications — started Uproar PR in early 2011. Catriona is the Managing Partner for Uproar PR, while maintaining her position as Vice President for Vantage Communications.

Teaching the next generation of PR professionals, Catriona is regularly invited to speak at PR classes at the University of Central Florida where she advises students on the use of social media and PR.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Catriona for the past five years, and her passion is infectious. She understands what it takes for a team to succeed, and pushes us to be the best we can be,” said Kendall Wayland, Manager of Creative Services for both Vantage Communications and Uproar PR. “She is a strong role model for women in PR and the Orlando business community. I know we will continue to see great things from her.”
