CES 2024: Breaking Through the Noise

Have you been seeing the hottest new tech in your newsfeed over the last few weeks? You have CES 2024, the world’s largest consumer tech show, to thank for that. At Uproar PR, we have been helping technology companies break through the noise and stand out amongst the crowd for more than a decade.

The Uproar team was on-site in Las Vegas for a week, ensuring clients got visibility with reporters to create buzz around their latest products. Representing companies across industries like robotics, lifestyle, sports tech and accessibility tech, we secured over 150 pieces of coverage on The TODAY Show, ZDNet, WIRED, ABC News, CNET, Fast Company, Reviewed, The New York Times’ Wirecutter, TechRadar and more.

Our secret? Getting in front of media as early as possible. Reporters are flying in for scheduled pre-show press events that start two days prior to the show floor opening, and then they’re on a flight out as early as the second day of the show floor. You can no longer rely on media strolling by your booth, and instead a more targeted, pre-planned approach is necessary for success.

Because of this trend, Uproar hosts a Media Showcase the morning of the first press day, where 100+ reporters RSVP to test out our clients’ products for themselves. We make it easy on the media, and regularly see USA Today, ZDNet, WIRED, CNET and more get one-on-one time with our clients. For the second year in a row, one of our clients was featured on national TV during Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show.

We also support clients at official pre-show press events, like Unveiled. For this, we pitch reporters in advance to let them know which companies to keep an eye out for, and we also pull reporters off the floor and help facilitate one-on-one interviews.

With two press days done, the show floor officially opens. Our team members are extensions of our clients’ teams. Not only do we support pre-scheduled interviews, but our team also walks around the floor and brings media to the booth for an interview. This year alone, we had interviews with ABC News, BBC, FOX Business, Good Housekeeping and more.

At the end of each day, our team follows up with every reporter we met up with to make sure they have everything they need for their stories. Even now that the team is back from CES, the follow ups and pitching doesn’t stop. We are ensuring reporters remember our clients for their roundups and standalone pieces.

Uproar also helps our clients win prestigious awards. This year in particular, our applications led to clients winning USA Today’s Reviewed accessABILITY Award and two TWICE Picks Awards.

As we wrap our CES 2024 pitching efforts, we’re already planning for CES 2025. Interested in getting national attention at next year’s show? Contact us to discuss how we can support you.
