Wendover has kicked off construction work for affordable housing on Universal Orlando-donated land. The Altamonte Springs-based developer started work Nov. 1 on the first phase of the $350 million, 1,000-unit Catchlight Crossings apartment community near the future Epic Universe theme park. Universal Orlando — owned by Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq: CMCSA) — provided 20 acres for the development.

In partnership between eSight, an eyewear company for those with visual impairments, and Marathon Medical, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, the two companies are coming together with the Department of Veterans Affairs to increase accessibility for life-altering devices for veterans.
