Pico Interactive is a global technology company developing innovative virtual reality solutions that enable businesses to create and experience the best in virtual reality (VR). To date, more than 200,000 Pico VR headsets have been sold worldwide across a variety of industries, including: healthcare, education, marketing, training, and entertainment services. Pico came to Uproar as a tech PR firm mid-2019 to help promote its innovative VR headsets and enterprise applications. The Uproar team subsequently launched an influencer relations campaign to drive brand awareness and product recognition, while also developing associated press materials.
Uproar’s tech PR team worked to identify opportunities in which audiences could experience Pico technology firsthand. Uproar then partnered with Legoland Florida to invite influencers to ride The Great Lego Race at the amusement park, in order to showcase the application of Pico headsets in the entertainment industry. This unique roller coaster uses Pico’s headsets to transform rider experience through virtual reality.
The team identified and secured three influencer visits to Legoland on November 23, 2019. Influencers were tasked with riding the VR coaster and documenting their experience on social media, which resulted in 25 pieces of coverage highlighting Pico and Legoland. Influencer content resulted in more than 1,000 engagements and potentially reached more than 76,000 people.
