Account Manager

Location: Remote

The Account Manager is a strategic PR pro. They know how to keep clients happy, to get results for clients, to manage teams and to be a leader within the company.

The Account Manager will lead 2 teams. As such, they must have a working knowledge of the activities and expectations for each client. From the start of a client relationship, the Account Manager will be active in strategy and kick-off meetings. They will be available to the client at any point that strategic counsel is needed.

An Account Manager can multi-task, is pro-active, knows the temperature of each account, helps facilitate the growth of their junior team members and is not above making pitch calls or other necessary task if that is what is needed for the client. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with the account teams to ensure we are meeting the day-to-day needs of clients.
  • Responsible for establishing a media outreach strategy and guiding their team members through pitching efforts.
  • Advises clients on new market approaches and timing of launches/plans as well as competitive strategies
  • Stay abreast of new trends or industry happenings relevant to your clients
  • Foster relationships with the major players in the media space for each of your clients
  • Set weekly goals for your team
  • Work with senior management team in a management role to foster the development of junior employees
  • Proactively work with management on agency tasks

Requirements

  • Previous PR Agency experience (5-6 years experience)
  • Team management and collaboration skills
  • Ability to take initiative and direction at the same time
  • Open to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have extensive Muck Rack experience
  • Confident personality
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Able to attend in-person meetings and events
