With more than 20 years of business and strategy experience launching and leading highly successful companies, Ermis Sfakiyanudis serves as Uproar PR’s Chief Operating Officer from his home state and headquarters in Annapolis, Maryland. In this role, Ermis oversees operations and strategy across all team units, while supporting new business development and agency management.
As an experienced executive, Ermis has served on multiple boards, including as an active member of the BankAnnapolis board from 2000 to 2013, when they were acquired. He is a frequent guest speaker at events like the University of Maryland Terp Business Connect, Launch! and Ignite Events. And as a thought leader, Ermis is often quoted in publications like The Wall Street Journal, Inc., Fast Company, and Bloomberg BusinessWeek. He is also an active member of his community as an advocate at all levels of the Maryland state government.
Ermis holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, and when he’s not building strategies to grow the business, you can find Ermis on the side of a lacrosse field cheering on his son, or catching a Broadway play with his daughter. Being from Annapolis, it is no surprise that Ermis loves to be on the water with his family and friends, and grabbing some blue crabs at Mike’s.
