UPROAR PR 2020 Company Retreat

Not even a global pandemic could prevent Uproar from bringing the Chicago and Orlando offices together for the annual company retreat – virtual edition!

Despite the physical separation that comes with working remotely Uproar’s staff was able to connect in a special week of fun team-building activities. Professional development seminars organized by leadership featured conversations on the unique challenges and lessons learned during 2020. Informative feedback received during the client and media panels gave us inspiration and ideas to deliver powerful results to our clients in 2021. The much-anticipated holiday party had the Uproar team vying for the top prizes during the White Elephant gift exchange, including a coveted Peloton bike.

Here are some favorite moments from some of our team members.

“When I started as an Account Coordinator the same week as the retreat, I felt like it was the perfect opportunity to really get plugged in and learn more about the agency as a whole! I loved listening in on Uproar’s 2021 goals and having fun with the whole team during the annual White Elephant gift exchange. Once the retreat was over, I felt excited to be a part of the team and really motivated to begin my official training!” – Emma Vandermark, Account Coordinator.

“The annual retreat is always a great time for us to reflect on the work we’ve accomplished in both our personal and professional lives. One of my favorite sessions every year is the media panel where we are able to hear exact ways to improve communication and build relationships with key reporters, producers and influencers.” – Abigail Lacaillade, Senior Account Executive.

“This was my sixth retreat at Uproar, and even though it was virtual this year, it still had all the information sharing and team bonding that I love about our annual retreat. One of my favorite sessions this year was our client panel, where we got to hear candid, firsthand feedback from our partners on what makes a successful PR campaign from their perspective. I look forward to the Uproar retreat every year because it gives us all a chance to reflect, set goals, challenge ourselves, and even win some pretty cool prizes along the way!” – Courtney Calderon, Account Director.

As always, the retreat left the Uproar team with fun memories and insightful takeaways. Invigorated and with spirits lifted, Uproar is ready and eager to achieve our goals in 2021.
