Uproar PR Starts 2014 off with a Bang, Triples First Quarter Revenue

Chicago and Orlando, Fla. – April 8, 2014 – Uproar PR, a full-service public relations and social media agency, announced today its revenue for Q1 more than tripled from the same period last year. To sustain the growth, the firm opened a Chicago office this month with 5 full time employees, and 15 more hires planned throughout the year.  Additionally, the firm increased staff in its Orlando office by 10-percent. Uproar PR’s first quarter success can also be directly attributed to client retention and client referrals; at least 85% of the firm’s new business in Q1 was referred by existing clients.

Uproar PR’s referrals come from happy current clients that obtained great results with strategic North American earned media and thought leadership – resulting in an increase in sales for their product or service. Unlike many agencies, the team at Uproar understands the importance and urgency of national and international coverage for not only larger established companies but also for early-stage start-ups looking to build brand awareness.

“We have been so fortunate in finding amazing talent to support this year of growth,” said Mike Harris, co-founder and partner of Uproar PR. “We have always placed the highest importance on employee retention and working with clients that we are passionate about. Our team tripled our goal for client coverage in the first quarter, delivering results for our clients that far surpassed expectations.”

Uproar PR understands that its “product” is its people. Therefore hiring the right people and placing the importance on employee retention is crucial to the success of the firm.  Uproar is hitting the mark with employee retention, and this is very apparent since more than half of its staff comes from current employee referrals.

Uproar PR continues to create innovative programs designed to drive stellar results for clients.  “We have a number of new initiatives that we will roll-out through the remainder of the year,” said Catriona Harris, co-founder and partner of Uproar PR. “Keeping our clients, employees and partners at the forefront of innovation in public relations is always our number one goal.”
