Uproar Boosts North American Brand Recognition for Global Building Product Manufacturer

Building product manufacturer Kingspan came to Uproar in October 2017 to help build brand recognition for its insulated metal panels in North America.

Our Approach

Uproar created a PR campaign designed to reach media in construction, building materials, metal products and architecture trades, in addition to media interested in issues surrounding sustainability and environmental responsibility. This campaign includes media outreach to target publications in addition to content creation in the form of contributed articles, blogs and project case studies.


Uproar has successfully established Kingspan as the go-to insulated metal panel and sustainability resource amongst the built industry. Uproar has formed strong relationships with reporters and editors in metal and architecture trades, resulting in many mentions, interviews, case studies and contributed article placements.

The added value of content creation generates impactful coverage for Kingspan while helping to meet KPIs each quarter.

Kingspan produces many reports and white papers that illustrate the built environment’s impact on our natural environment, and the benefits of using insulated metal panels. Uproar leverages these reports for contributed article opportunities with key trades. For Kingspan’s 2023 Global Retrofit Index report, Uproar pulled messaging highlighting the need for more retrofitting in the U.S. Uproar pitched Kingspan’s commentary and key findings and secured contributed article interest with Design and Build with Metal, Building Enclosure and Metal Construction News. The piece in Metal Construction News ran both online and in its print issue, which included a reference in the note from the editor.

Uproar also produces project case study content for Kingspan’s website that can be leveraged for media opportunities. Uproar will work with the Kingspan team to identify a recent project that utilized Kingspan’s insulated metal panels. Uproar will then draft web copy for Kingspan’s website in addition to copy for metal trades. Uproar holds close relationships with the editors at these metal trades, and they look to Uproar to send them project content month to month. Over the span of a year, Uproar secured over 25 pieces of coverage for Kingspan’s project case studies. Notable project coverage includes the University of Missouri Stephens Indoor Practice Facility in Building Enclosure, the UC Health Clifton Campus in Design and Build with Metal and the Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex in Metal Architecture’s print issue.

In addition to targeting metal and architecture trades, Uproar also pitches additional niche audiences that use insulated metal panels, including supply chain and logistics. Uproar secured a podcast interview for Kingspan with FreightWaves – an outlet focused on the global freight market and the leading provider of high-frequency data for the global supply chain. The interview positioned Kingspan as leaders of the temperature-controlled side of the supply chain, highlighting the benefits of using insulated metal panels for cold storage applications.
