Uproar launches Oclean in the U.S. market, making its interactive electric toothbrushes go viral

Oclean came to Uproar in October of 2023 to launch its products across the U.S. and generate positive brand awareness amongst key demographics.

Our Approach

After seeing success in the Asia-Pacific and European markets, Oclean came to Uproar to establish the brand as a leader in the crowded, multi-billion-dollar oral care market. To do so, Uproar distributed a press release and developed a strategy plan to secure meaningful coverage through targeted pitching and sample seeding. In outreach, Uproar focused on differentiating Oclean’s products from its competitors by emphasizing its revolutionary technology, which provides users immediate feedback through an interactive touch screen on its smart toothbrush, the X Pro Digital. Additional key selling points include its sleek design, quiet yet powerful motor, long battery life and affordable price point that allows for a wider range of potential customers. All of these features were leveraged in unique pitch angles that result in publicity to help boost sales.

Results

In November 2023, Uproar announced the launch of Oclean products in the U.S. by drafting, distributing and pitching a press release. Uproar sent sample products out to reporters at top-tier media outlets, which led to coverage in household-name media outlets like Good Morning America, US Magazine and TIME.

Soon after officially launching in the U.S., Oclean joined Uproar at the 2024 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) where they displayed both their X Pro Digital as well as soft launched their upcoming revolutionary product, the X Ultra. Having a presence in Uproar’s media suite, Uproar generated interest amongst top-tier media and saw through impactful coverage on The Today Show, Cheddar, ZDNET, Rolling Stone, CNET and more – with one of CNET’s writeups resulting in a viral moment on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The team maintains routine media coverage of Oclean’s oral care by seeding out samples to reporters with national, technology, health and lifestyle publications. This results in full-length reviews on products, like Tech Advisor, Live Science and Greener Ideal, and roundup inclusions, like Country Living, Essence and US Weekly.

Uproar also manages Oclean’s U.S. social media presence with accounts the team started from scratch. With a mixture of product-focused highlights and user-generated content, Uproar’s social content has garnered Oclean’s accounts over 500,000+ impressions and an audience of nearly 10,000.

To inform dentists of Oclean and its affordable, high-tech offerings, the team also secures coverage in dental outlets through contributed articles, review units and press releases. For example, Uproar secured a contributed article in Dental Products Report on the role of artificial intelligence in dentistry, which ties directly back to Oclean’s unique AI-powered toothbrush, the X Ultra.
