Let’s face it – we all love to indulge in the delicacies of what the holidays have to offer, but when it comes to the new year we like to take a healthy and fitness-focused approach. Each year, Uproar’s client the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) releases the top fitness trends with its “Tracking the Fitness Movement Report.” Knowing fitness is typically top of mind for consumers this time of year, Uproar PR capitalized on the 2017 report to engage with key sport and health reporters and producers giving them a timely piece to share that provided their readers and viewers with the latest fitness trends – and gave consumers a highlight of what they can expect in 2018.
As a result of Uproar’s pitching efforts, SFIA’s CEO and President, Tom Cove was featured on the national news program CNBC – reaching 2 million viewers – as an expert in participation fitness and health trends. Cove shared SFIA’s biggest trends in the world of fitness and how that will impact 2018.
In addition to the national program airing, CNBC also produced a web story titled, “Fitness heats up in 2018. These are the biggest burners,” complete with the full segment, a quote from Cove and included data from SFIA’s 2017 Tracking the Fitness Movement Report.
Uproar is right on track this 2018 ramping up sports coverage nationally and the team isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
